Être ciel

2020
Cotton - 210 cm x 116 cm

Once worn, this cloth echoes that of the Carthusian fathers. From the size of the room, it allows the wearer to become sky.

The motif represented is inspired of an engraving by Camille Flammarion published in 1888 in his book "The Atmosphere: Popular Meteorology", in the chapter“ The shape of the sky ” and entitled“ A missionary of the Middle Ages tells that he had found the point where the sky and the Earth touch ”.
